Music Workshop &
National Music Education Standards

Music Workshop courses are standards-based and promote cross-curricular learning for students. For planning your integrated and standards-based instruction, we have documents to highlight the Music, Social Studies and English Language Arts standards that are addressed in each individual course and an overview to provide this information by grade band.

Two Courses on Traditional Music from Africa have launched!

We know your students will love experiencing the exciting and diverse music and cultures from the continent of Africa. These courses were a labor of love and took (a bit) longer than we thought but now instead of one course, we have TWO courses on Traditional music… and later this fall, look for TWO more courses on Contemporary Music from Africa! Inspiring times here at Music Workshop! Check out the new courses below.

Hello, !

You are not currently enrolled in a course.

To Our Music Workshop Teachers,
Each December, we take the opportunity to humbly ask you to donate to Music Workshop. As you know, Music Workshop is offered to teachers everywhere free of charge. Our program is 100% funded through grants and private donations. The money we raise during this time period will be designated to support our campaign called Building for the Future which will fund a complete revamp of this website to improve user experience, launching July of 2022.

We urge you to show your support of Music Workshop by donating today. If Music Workshop has brought you and your students $5 worth of value this year, we ask that you consider donating through the button below. Your donation will ensure that Music Workshop can continue bringing high-quality, relevant and culturally responsive music history & appreciation resources delivered through a new and improved, robust online portal. Music is for Everyone.
